All CE course applications are reviewed by the Continuing Education Advisory Committee. Applications are reviewed on the first Friday of each month unless a national holiday occurs on or near that date. Applications received by the CE Coordinator no later than the Tuesday prior to the review meeting will be reviewed at that meeting. Any applications received after that day may be delayed review until the next month’s scheduled meeting.

Credit is granted in full hours only, based on actual instruction time; one hour equals one credit. Each approved hour will be 60 minutes in duration and must include at least 50 minutes of instruction.

Idaho uses an online system provided by our vendor, Vertafore (previously known as Sircon), for administration of licensing continuing education. This includes provider records, online course applications and maintenance, and student transcript maintenance. You register with Vertafore after you have been established as an approved provider of CE in Idaho (when your first course is approved).

In order to offer courses to Idaho producers for continuing education credit, your organization needs to enter into a providership agreement with Vertafore. Please review the Vertafore Provider brochure and then contact them directly to find the most up-to-date information and processes involved. Online system support for providers is through Vertafore.

All course applications, whether for a new or a renewing course, filed on paper or online, have certain required documents that must be filed.
These are:

  1. Course Application form (either Exhibit A or NAIC CE Reciprocity form).
  2. Detailed outline or agenda, with timing of segments indicated.
  3. Instructor Approval Forms for each instructor who has not already been approved in Idaho for the provider.
  4. $25.00 non-refundable processing fee for each application.
