As part of Idaho’s effective rate review process, since September 2011 the Idaho Department of Insurance has tracked and posted the rate changes of
individual and small group health insurance products to improve insurer accountability and transparency. Insurance companies submit to the Department
what rates they believe they need for policies during the upcoming calendar year, along with descriptions and justifications for why the rates are
reasonable and not excessive.
Posting this information publicly allows anyone to review the information while the Department completes the rate review process, and gives consumers
the chance to comment on the proposed increases. By following the links below, the public can access a summary of the increase amounts and the carrier
justifications for the rates. Please send any comments to Idaho Department of Insurance.
