Administrative Rules

An administrative rule is officially promulgated agency regulations that implements, interprets, or prescribes law, policy, or the procedure or practice requirements of an agency. The Department of Insurance promulgates rules in accordance with the Idaho Administrative Procedures Act (IDAPA). Agency policy statements and guidance documents shall not have the force and effect of law pursuant to section 67-5207A, Idaho Code.

The rules are published by the Office of the Administrative Rules Coordinator in the State of Idaho’s Administrative Bulletin, and then they are made available on their website.

Pursuant to section 67-2512, Idaho Code, the Department of Insurance rules are also available here, along with any documents incorporated by reference or other attachments to the rules.
