Man Pleads Guilty After Fraudulent $80,000 Dental Claim Exposed

BOISE, ID (August 11, 2026) – The Idaho Department of Insurance (DOI) announced that Jeremy Antone of Ford, Washington pled guilty on May 12, 2026, to one count of insurance fraud.
Antone filed an injury claim with Sentry Insurance Company after an auto collision, alleging that the impact caused all of his teeth to be knocked out and that he required $80,000 in dental work. An investigation by the DOI Fraud Unit determined that Antone did not suffer any injuries as a result of the collision and that his dental issues were preexisting.
“Insurance fraud harms Idaho consumers by driving up premiums and eroding trust in the system,” said Dean L. Cameron, Director of the Idaho Department of Insurance. “This case demonstrates our continued commitment to investigating fraudulent claims and holding individuals accountable when they attempt to misuse the insurance process.”
On July 14, 2026, Antone was sentenced in Kootenai County to five years in prison. The sentence was suspended in lieu of five years of probation. He was also ordered to pay $24,248.22 in restitution.
